Background & Facilities

The Course was opened in 1977 and the Golf Club was formed in 1978.

Besides the 18 Hole Golf Course, there is a 9 Hole Pitch 'n' Putt Course and Practice areas for Putting, Chipping as well as Bunker play, these are all owned and maintained by Leicester City Council.

There is also a Driving Range with the most up to date facilities, which is owned by one of our members, Dave Issitt.  The Driving Range is open 7 days a week until 9pm Weekdays and 6.30pm at Weekends.

The Course is managed by Dave Butler.  He is ably assisted by two PGA Qualified Professionals, Jon Alcock and Jamie Anderson.  If you require assistance with choosing equipment or wish to book lessons then speak to any one of them in the Pro Shop.  They will be more than happy to assist you.

Season Tickets for playing on the course are also available from the Pro Shop offering the chance to reduce your golfing costs considerably.

In the Clubhouse our Manager, Jane is employed by the Club together with her husband Khaled and they are responsible for the Bar and Dining Area where refreshments are always available. 

Clubhouse Etiquette

Clubhouse facilities, i.e. the Bar & Dining Area are available for the use of all Members and Guests of the Club.

All are asked to observe some simple guidelines in the interest of the comfort and well being of all users of the facilities:-

A reasonable standard of dress is required in common with other Golf Clubs, 'Smart Casual' should be the minimum.

The wearing of headgear is not encouraged, although it is readily understood that some users may need to do so on religious or medical grounds.

Golf equipment, including golf shoes, is not allowed.

Behaviour and language should be temperate at all times.

Respect is to be shown towards staff, furniture and fittings.
